A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY:

In the 1800s, the Democratic Party supported slavery, an ancient and abhorrent practice. The Democrats who opposed slavery left to form the Republican Party, and helped elect Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President. To make a long story short, in order to keep their slaves, the Democrats tried to take the southern states and start a new country. It didn't work.

In the 1900s, the Democrats continued working to deny blacks and women basic freedoms. In 1869, not a single Democrat voted for the 15th Amendment recognizing that every citizen has the right to vote, regardless of "color." Then in 1919, they also opposed the 19th Amendment recognizing that women have the right to vote as well. (They even tried to filibuster the vote!) FACTS.

After the Civil War, Democrats formed the KKK to intimidate blacks with burning crosses, lynchings, and more. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party introduced Jim Crow laws and opposed every single major Civil Rights initiative ever introduced, including the Civil Rights Acts of the 1950s and 60s, and including the integration of schools and colleges in the 60s and 70s.

"The Problem of Slavery"

• Many of the Founding Fathers who helped establish the Constitution of the United States are cast as villains of history because they owned slaves. The sad truth is, slavery had been a part of virtually every civilization in human history. It may be hard to imagine today, but in the 1700s, slavery was an inescapable "fact of life" all over the world—and it had been that way ever since Bible times and the beginning of recorded history.


• The architects of our country knew that they could not win independence without the participation of the Southern states; but those states would not agree to get rid of, or abolish, slavery.


• The choice back then was either (a) allow the states in which slavery was legal into the union and deal with the terrible problem of slavery later, or (b) remain a part of the British Empire. 


• Our Founding Fathers chose option b. If they had not, there would not be a United States of America as we know it—and the practice of slavery might have remained in place for even longer.


• They included the phrase "all men are created equal," in the Declaration of Independence to keep their new nation beholden to the idea that slavery had no place in their proposed society. They could have included, "except for slaves," but instead chose to set the bar higher – a truly revolutionary act given the prevalance of slavery throughout history. 


• As the Founders intended, opposition to slavery grew in the South and across the United States. By the 1800s it was clearer than ever that the practice had no place in a moral country – and the mostly white population of the U.S. agreed.


• The Democratic Party emerged in the early 1800s to defend slavery. They failed, but at the cost of more than 600,000 lives—and an American President.


• Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president, was assassinated.


• By a Democrat.


• It's true that some Republicans were slave owners too. Fortunately for those of us alive today, ALL of the Americans who owned slaves, Democrat & Republican or otherwise, are now dead. We have never met them, and we never will. They need not matter to us.


• The Democratic Party calls the United States a racist country. Really? The U.S. is one of the only countries on Earth that welcomes legal immigrants from anywhere on Earth, and enables them to assimilate and become American citizens. Our neighbors in Canada and Mexico sure don't do that. Anyone can become an American. You can't become Chinese unless you're already Chinese.

The terrorist group, the Ku Klux Klan, was founded by Democrat Nathan Bedford Forrest. KKK members, historically, have been affiliated with the Democratic Party. FACTS.

DEMOCRATIC PARTY FACTS

Civil Rights

• The Democratic Party has always viewed people based not on their individual or personal qualities, but rather as mere members of groups that share the same physical characteristics such as ethnicity or race, the original nationality of their families, their sex, or other characteristics that people are born with, but cannot choose or control.


• It is this group vs. group point of view that has always, and continues to, inform the party's stance on issues, and explains their history of both overt and covert racism—treating one race of people differently than another race.


• Aside from slavery, another early example of the Democrat Party's overt racism is the "Trail of Tears" in the early 1800s. This was the mistreatment and involuntary displacement of American Indians throughout the U.S. during Democrat president Andrew Jackson's administration.


• After they lost the Civil War, the Democratic Party used the Ku Klux Klan (founded by a Demorat) and other organizations to trample on the civil rights of African Americans.


• Intimidation, cross burnings, lynchings...all of these were part of the arsenal used by the Democrats in an attempt to suppress the entire population of blacks.


• The first black U.S. congressman was a Democrat. Oh wait, no he wasn't. The first black U.S. congressman was a Republican named Hiram Revels from the state of Mississippi, elected way back in 1870. 


• Twenty-two more black republicans were elected to congress before 1900, whereas Democrats could not bring themselves to elect a black congressmen until 1935. Seems kinda racist.


• In 1869, the Democratic Party opposed the 15th Amendment to the Constitution, which recognized that blacks have the right to vote. 


• In 1919, the Democratic Party opposed the 19th Amendment which recognized the right to vote for all women nationwide. 


• In the 1950s and 60s, the Democratic Party opposed every civil rights initiative put forward. Today, they just pretend it didn't happen.


• In 1968, civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. was assassinated.  


• By a Democrat.


• In the 70s and 80s, the Democratic Party opposed integration of public schools and colleges. Today, they still try to keep blacks and whites apart by convincing black people that all white people hate them and that only the Democratic Party can somehow fix it. What a joke.


• A few years ago, the Democratic Party praised and encouraged the "mostly peaceful" (i.e. violent) protests conducted by radical racial separatist groups like Black Lives Matter, ANTIFA, and others. Except all the peacefulness injured and killed people, and caused more than a billion dollars in damage to personal property and businesses.


• The Democratic Party does not want to help black people. They want to have control over black people—and everyone else for that matter.

Did you ever notice...?

Instead of debating or arguing about how good their ideas are, Democrats most often just call the people with competing ideas names like, Racist! Homophobe! and Transphobe! Or they make pronouncements like, "They just hate immigrants!" or "They just hate women!" Don't you wonder why that is? It's because they know that their ideas wouldn't win any arguments (which they wouldn't). Their ideas are about nothing more than control.

The Republican Party elected 23 black men to congress before 1900. Democrats could not bring themselves to elect a black congressman until 1935. FACTS.
